Shunt Chimney (Shared Flue System)
This is a type of chimney that allows for the extraction of odors and smoke from kitchen range hoods.
It is produced in two different types: with internal and external branches.
A chimney flap with a gasket is used at the branch connections to prevent the backflow of odors and smoke drawn from the range hood.
Internally Branched Shunt Chimney
This system can be used when there’s not much space within the shaft. It’s an ideal
chimney with its guaranteed operation and high draft, which is advantageous for
aspirators.
Externally Branched Shunt Chimney
A shunt flue system is the preferred choice when a shaft is available.
